Forbes.com’s contributor Jeremy Greenfield certainly thinks so. In fact he provides a couple of prime examples where authors who have previously been traditionally published have gone it on their own and self-published their own e-books. The result is that some authors have made millions of dollars more.
Greenfield goes on to say that traditional publishers are not sitting idly by. Penguin’s purchase of the world’s leader in self-publishing, Author Solutions, and Simon and Schuster’s partnership with Author Solutions to create a self-publishing business are indicators that the book publishing landscape is undergoing radical changes.
